Hannover Messe is one of the biggest trade fairs in the world, organized by Deutsche Messe AG. It has been running for over 70 years, and every year it attracts thousands of exhibitors and tens of thousands of visitors. The fair has an international character as more than half of the exhibitors are from outside of Germany. Hannover Messe 2023 is the 76th edition, and the fair is held in a hybrid format (online and in-person).

Its partner status fits the “Making Indonesia 4.0” initiative, which aims to face the challenges of the 4th industrial revolution and elevate Indonesia’s status as an important global industry player.

Along with the development of information technology and telecommunication, in the 80s, the fair was separated into two events: CeBIT – a computer expo (canceled in 2018) and Hannover Messe (Messe means trade show in German), which focused on industry technologies.
