Canton Fair, or China Import and Export Fair ( 广交会), is a big biannual tradeshow in China’s Guangzhou. It has been organized since 1957, making it the oldest tradeshow in China. The trade fair is held in spring and fall. Canton Fair is getting more and more recognizable every year – in 2021, participants came from 228 countries and regions.

Due to the epidemiological situation, in 2020 Canton Fair was held online. In 2021 the spring edition was online, while the fall Canton Fair one – was both online and offline. The online edition was not divided into phases as it was before. What will the Caton Fair 2022 look like? Some of the tradeshows in China set for 2022 were canceled or postponed, and others were held online or in a merged format. How and when the upcoming edition of the Canton Fair will take place?
Spring edition: 15-24.04.2022, ONLINE
The spring edition of Canton Fair 2022 was organized online from the 15th to the 24th of April. In this way, companies worldwide could participate in live presentations of goods and quickly contact suppliers without the necessity to plan a trip to China. Moreover, as was the case in the first online edition, importers got access to all 16 product categories and 50 exhibition sections for the whole duration of the event. Such a measure makes participation in the fair much more accessible, providing time and financial savings.

Registration for the spring edition of Canton Fair 2022 is entirely free! All it takes is a few simple steps to access a wide variety of goods from nearly every industry. You can start the registration process by visiting the official website of the Canton Fair. Next, you need to choose the “Register” option in the upper right corner.
Following this, the website will ask you to state whether you are an overseas, domestic buyer, or agent. You must select the correct option as shown in the picture below – for most importers, it will be “Overseas Buyer.” Then you will be asked about a “Buyer Badge.” Only those who have already taken part in Canton Fair own such a badge. Thus, if it’s your first time participating in the event, choose “I Don’t Have a Buyer Badge.”
The last step is filling out the registration form. You must provide personal data (name, title, country, and e-mail address) and select the scope of your business (key industries). Thanks to this information, the platform will be able to grant you access to exporters offering goods interesting to you. After entering all the data and selecting the “Submit” option, you can start browsing offers and searching for a business partner.
