According to The Economist, China has recently overtaken United States and become the world’s biggest trader in physical goods. In the last year, China exported $2.21 trillion-worth of goods and imported $1.95 trillion-worth of goods.
American statistics haven’t been published yet, but it seems to be clear that China is ahead. Total trade of China has year-to-year increase of 7.6%, just below the government 8% target. Exports and imports are also increasing, the latter a way faster.
However, if the trade of services is considered, than USA will still the world’s biggest trader.
